Join the Housing Lopez Team!
Housing Lopez is looking for a part-time maintenance person to work at Village North Apartments and Fishbay Cottages. This is a year-round position that reports to the community manager.
- Expected hours are 10 to 15 hours per week, schedule is somewhat flexible.
- Salary is $25-$30 per hour, depending upon experience. Must have some prior experience in construction, maintenance or related.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Responds to work orders submitted for repairs to unit appliances, heaters (HVAC), water heaters, plumbing and electrical fixtures.
- Makes repairs when able or schedules vendors/contractors when needed.
- Paints or touches up interior paint in units on turnover (which is generally infrequent).
- Directs and coordinates activities of contractors engaged in repairing plumbing or electrical work, unit turnover cleaning and performing landscaping or gardening work.
- Orders paint and supplies needed for unit turns, such as, drip pans for stoves, replacement shelves for refrigerators, batteries for smoke/CO monitors.
- Performs property inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness and routinely picks up trash to ensure visual appeal of property and maintain hazard-free conditions.
- Maintains organized and clean shop/storage area.
- Communicates with supervisor and/or property owners regarding the overall function of the property.
- Coordinates contractors with direction from community manager for servicing HVAC, Solar Array, Septic Systems and Fire Alarm/Sprinkler systems.
- Monitors trash/recycling areas and keeps dumpsters and enclosures clean and free of debris.
- Shares emergency on-call duties with other staff a few days per week.
- Must have valid Washington State driver’s license and current car insurance.
